What a busy week! I have been working really hard and getting this website where I want it to be, I have added 4 more colours to the yarn family, continued working on 2 new kits and worked my normal 9-5 in the process.... so yes, very tired this week but so worth it!

I decided to add some new colours to the yarn family. I wanted to add some more darker varieties so added the Magenta and Teal, the bright yellow was a popular colour which I had replaced with mustard because I proffered it which is bringing me to my first main point of this review.

When I was a teenager, my mum once told me that she didn't like to buy presents for other people that she didn't like which made zero sense to me. But I have realised that I have done the exact same thing with my yarn colours! I have picked colours that I like, I haven't really thought about what other people would want which is just completely stupid!

Let's talk about the website. I have been working really hard on making my site more attractive, accessible and easier to navigate. I have also added a membership platform which I am trying to develop so you can keep a library of your digital files that your purchase. All of this is a massive learning curve but I am loving it!

I really wanted to pass on the really useful things I have picked up as I have developed as a small business to help anyone else who wants to give this a go :)

  • Handmade Bosses | Start a handmade business - Stephanie is an amazing Etsy coach, her words of wisdom have massively helped me grow my business. The Handmade Bosses has both free and paid resources so it is 100% worth a look

  • Home - Teresa Heath-Wareing - I found Teresa through another learning platform where she was interviewed as a guest speaker. I loved her honesty and her energy and decided to listen to her podcast. I literally listen to it everyday! On my way to work, on my way home from work and even when I am working. I have gathered a HUGE list of resources from her podcast so she is 100% worth a listen

These 2 amazing woman have had the biggest impact on my business through thier sources and they have no idea how incredibly grateful I am!

I'm keeping it short and sweet for this weekly review, i'm still getting used to blogging and I want to keep it as engaging as possible so best not bore you with too much nonsense.....
