Acrylic yarn is great for beginner knitters due to the comfortable feel and the tight fibers which can make it less likely to split, it easy to look after as it can be machine washed and tumble dried, it is a hypoallergenic which means it contains no animal or organic fibers so those with allergies can work with this yarn comfortably.

The adults kits are all supplied with aluminum knitting needles. the size and length differ on the projects but alluminium is a lightweight and surprisingly hardwearing so as long as they are looked after, they can follow you as you develop through your knitting journey.

The children's knitting kits are provided with plastic needles which are 18cm in length, this makes them much easier for little hands to handle and use. If your little one picks up the knitting bug then bamboo is a lovely material to move onto next!

Every knitting kit comes with the yarn colours of your choice. This isn't anything special compared to most kits as this is a common feature HOWEVER, with Arthur's kits you can choose up to 12 different colours depending on the kit!
